Jerith Driveway & Pavers: The Woodland Hills Owner’s Guide

If you have a Jerith driveway gate or paver system in Woodland Hills and a part has failed, we can match it, price it honestly, and install it correctly. Most Jerith driveway gate parts we handle run between $150 and $900 installed depending on the component, and we stock the most common failure items on our trucks so the fix usually happens on the first visit. Homeowners typically discover a problem when the gate starts grinding, sits crooked, or stops opening on the remote after a Santa Ana wind event or a heavy rain year.

We’re an independent service provider in Woodland Hills, not a Jerith factory outlet. That matters because we’re free to tell you when an aftermarket part is just as good as the OEM piece, and when it isn’t. We also carry select parts for KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone systems, but Jerith driveway and paver work is its own discipline, and we treat it that way.

Which Jerith Models This Applies To

An open living space after a whole-home remodel

Jerith has manufactured residential and light-commercial aluminum and steel fencing, gates, and driveway systems for decades, and the parts compatibility picture is not always obvious. The good news: many Jerith gate hinges, latch assemblies, and wheel kits are shared across multiple model lines, including the Estate, Regal, and Sentry series. The less-good news: certain post caps, rail brackets, and gate rollers are series-specific, and guessing wrong means a second trip and a second labor charge.

Here’s how to identify what you have before you call. Look for a small metal tag or sticker on the inside face of the gate frame or the hinge post, usually about knee height. If the tag is gone, measure the gate width and the post outside-to-outside dimension. A 48-inch single swing gate takes different hinge hardware than a 96-inch double swing, and the hinge offset changes the geometry entirely. If you want to text us a photo of the failed part next to a tape measure, we can usually identify it from the truck on the way to your Woodland Hills property.

One compatibility gotcha we see regularly: Jerith hinge bushings from pre-2005 gates are marginally thinner than current production, and the newer bushings will bind if forced in. We stock both, because this is the kind of detail that makes the difference between a gate that swings clean for ten years and one that starts squealing in six months.

Signs Your Jerith Driveway & Pavers Is Failing

  • Gate drags or scrapes the driveway surface. Usually a hinge bushing or wheel assembly wearing down. The gate settles a quarter-inch, and from there it’s a race between the scraping gate and the paver surface it’s wearing a groove into.
  • Gate sits visibly lower on the latch side. This is almost always hinge wear or post movement. In Woodland Hills clay soil, posts can shift a half-inch over a wet winter without you noticing until the latch no longer lines up.
  • Remote opener works but the gate moves slowly or stalls. The opener motor may be fighting a failing wheel bearing or a hinge that’s binding. The motor usually gets blamed, but we replace more worn wheel kits than opener arms on Jerith gates in this area.
  • Rust staining or pitting at the bottom rail. Irrigation overspray hits low on the gate, and even powder-coated aluminum will pit at the rail cap seams over time. Left alone, it eats into the rail and the gate loses structural stiffness.
  • Pavers around the gate posts are sinking or separating. This is a base failure under the pavers, often from poor original compaction or water running under the gate area. The gate part may be fine, but the post foundation isn’t, and the gate will eventually follow the post out of plumb.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

A remodeled living room with built-in shelves around the fireplace

In Woodland Hills, a full paver driveway installation runs $7,000 to $18,000 depending on square footage, base prep, and paver selection. Driveway replacement with a different material runs $5,000 to $14,000. But when you’re talking about a failed Jerith part rather than a full rebuild, the numbers look different. A single gate hinge replacement with labor typically lands between $150 and $350. A complete wheel kit with brackets is $250 to $500 installed. A full hinge-and-latch package on a double gate is usually $400 to $900 installed, depending on whether we need to re-set a post or repair the post footing at the same time.

What’s included: the part itself, all fasteners and bushings, the labor to remove the failed component and install the replacement, adjustment of the gate so it opens and closes without binding, and a function test. We give you a written price before any work starts, because that’s how we’ve operated since 2004. No surprise invoices, no “while we were in there” line items. Every repair is covered by our written guarantee for a full year after completion, and if a repair fails inside that year, we return and make it right at no charge. That’s how the 365-Day Done Right Promise works, and we don’t treat it as a favor. It’s the terms.

DIY or Call Us?

Here’s the honest split. You can safely identify the part, measure it, and take photos. You can check the gate for visible sag and look at the wheel surface for flat spots. What you should not do is unbolt a Jerith hinge assembly on a heavy double gate without knowing how to support the gate leaf. A 96-inch steel gate leaf weighs enough to injure someone, and the spring-loaded tension in some Jerith closer arms will take a finger off if it releases wrong. If the gate is electric, disconnect power at the keypad or opener box before you touch anything, and if you’re not sure where the power disconnects, leave it alone and call us.

If you want to do the diagnosis yourself and hand us the part number, we’ll tell you over the phone whether an aftermarket equivalent is safe to use and what it’ll cost installed. If you’d rather we handle everything, we’ll come out to your Woodland Hills home, confirm the part, show you the price in writing, and get it done. Call (831) 290-6866 and we’ll set it up.
